This Privacy Statement applies to your use of this website and associated social media accounts (Media Sites) which are operated by Blue Space Legal Group Pty Ltd (ACN 613 763 429) (Blue Space Legal, We or Us). This Privacy Statement should be read together with the Terms of Use of the Media Sites.

What is personal information?

When you use the Media Sites, we may record certain information about your use of such Media Sites, such as which webpages you visited, and the time, date and duration of your visit, as well as your internet protocol address. We may use cookies as part of our website analytics, to monitor and improve the Media Sites. If you do not wish to receive cookies, you may be able to change the settings on your browser.

How do we store your personal information?

We may hold your information in hardcopy and electronic files. Any hardcopy files are held at access-controlled premises. Electronic files are stored in our own secure network, where data storage is held at access-controlled premises. Information which may be passed to third parties are stored in accordance with such third party’s privacy policies.

How to access your personal information?

You have the right to request access to personal information we hold about you, ask us to update or correct any information that is inaccurate, incomplete or outdated, any opt-out of receiving direct marketing communications from us. You can do these things by contacting the Privacy Officer. In some cases, we may be required to verify your identity first and in other cases we may deny your request for access.

How to make a privacy complaint?

If you think we have breached the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), or wish to make a formal complaint about how we have handled your personal information, you can contact the Privacy Officer. Please include your name, email address and clearly describe the complaint. We will conduct an internal investigation of all complaints.  If you are not satisfied with the outcome of such investigation, you may lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at www.oaic.gov.au or by email to enquiries@oaic.gov.au.
